This annual circus troop use the big bit of empty land near the waters' edge so people have room to park and/or walk to and from this friendly and very professional and talented old fashioned circus family. The late afternoon light is nearly gone and soon the tent lights will show and the evening begins !

Olde Fashioned Scottish Life

This wonderful poster was stuck on the rounded edge of a library wall and just caught the edge of the real life Christmas tree in there and seemed like a nice happy mix of the two. Just for a moment you're not sure if you're looking into a window on the past - for real !

Isle of Arran in Snow

This cold looking dog in the bottom left hand corner seemed to be gazing wistfully at the Isle of Arran wondering why it was here and not there. The day was as cold as it looks.

Railway Bridge

These old steps lead over the ancient stone bridge across the railway line connecting southern Scotland with Glasgow and the mountains further north have been trekked over by countless generations on their way to the Community Library that is just the other side of the bridge.

Old Scottish Church

This old Scottish Church is just off the main street in Wigtown in Southern Scotland where there are more bookshops than in the rest of Scotland put together and their annual Book Festival is a week or so of beautiful bookshops, happy eateries and people enjoying being alive in a safe and well organized Community Event.. There is also the obligatory distillery visit !
